What is
d.f.g BackUp XP 2005 ?
The fastest award winning professional back up and restore
solution for nearly all backup medias - HD
drives, ZIP drives, JAZ, SyQuest, Memory Sticks, LAN drives, FTP server,
writeable CD R/RW or DVD and most other removable media's. It is
the most effective and fastest you can get today. Unlimited backup profiles are
supported. dfg
BackUp XP can be configured to start the backup automatically
(powerful scheduler using command line options (switches) and to optionally
shutdown the PC when the
backup is finished. The files or complete directories will be synchronized or
copied to a backup directory (local, network, FTP or eMail sever, etc.) and
stored in ZIP compatible archives using a very fast and secure compression and
encryption procedure. dfg
BackUp XP supports conventional or Universal Naming
Convention (UNC) file names, allowing access to all local and LAN Directories
using Industry standard 32-bit long directory and file names. dfg
BackUp XP supports backup of in-use and open files as
long as the application that is using the file does not have it locked for read
access. Zip Backup to CD can also send an Email notification (eMail functions in
version 4) with the log file attached after a job is finished.
For a high security level an archive encryption is also
supported. With this utility a version tracking of files and documents can be
easily done as well. You can optionally limit the number of files or/and limit
the size of the ZIP archive (to fit to the size of the backup media). Multi
backup medias (ZIP, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, etc.) are supported. With the new "find"
function in the integrated zip-extractor you can search for backup files within a collection of backup ZIP
archives. We recommend a daily backup of all changed files triggered by the A_ShutDown
utility before shut down or log off your computer.

It is often said:
Make backups and use a good virus scanner. While the virus protection program is
usually active in the background and even automatically updates itself, a backup
is often forgotten. Only when you've had a major crash do you start seeing the
benefits of backups and that's when you start making regular backups (at least,
for a couple of weeks!). Ah well, by that time it's really too late. A negative
point regarding backups is that it takes so long. You can't afford to forget
them and where do you leave those backups?
With "dfg BackUp XP"
everything is set up easily. With the help of a profile and the built-in
scheduler, you choose which files and folders you want to back up, when you want

works nice and fast and saves your files as ordinary ZIP-files and also password
protect them. Fully customizable: include, exclude files, skip directories. An
integrated restore facility allows you to quickly maintain two or more PC

Zip and Jaz drivers, magneto optical drives, CDs, DVDs, Memory Sticks, Lan, FTP
